Company is liable for sending a vessel with that type of bow on those conditions. Cargo ferries are not meant to cut water efficiently like other type of vessels.

My dad used to work in MS Estonia as a cook. He quit year before it sank bc my mom demanded that he did so since he was becoming a borderline alcoholic (back then you could drink while working)

Absolutely horrific! I’ve always heard that the Baltic can be a very rough sea… Thank goodness it was calm when I was there visiting Tallinn, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki & St Petersburg a few years ago. I can’t imagine this.

Why have the government officials in charge banned anyone from diving to the site for 50 years? Possibly because of the massive hole found in the side of the boat by a documentary crew? And then banned all expeditions from investigating the wreck.

In case the open few seconds of audio is confusing, thats exactly how confusing it was .. for one minute communication was near impossible 3 ships using one channel and 4 different voices in 2 languages
