@buildwithneej: Someone packaged 163 science skills that turn Claude Code into a research scientist, and it is free. Scientific Agent Skills is an open source skill pack for Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. A skill is an instruction manual: the documented way to call each database, the real API endpoints, and worked examples, so Claude stops guessing from memory. You get protein docking with DiffDock, single cell analysis with Scanpy, variant annotation with Ensembl VEP, and one lookup skill that covers 78 public databases including ChEMBL, PubChem, ClinicalTrials.gov, and PubMed. I asked it for the newest papers on gene editing with no API key. It hit PubMed live, got 419 results, noticed its own search was too broad, re-ran it, and told me only one of the three top hits was on topic. The README example chains six tools in one prompt: pull EGFR inhibitors from ChEMBL, generate analogs, dock them against an AlphaFold structure, search PubMed for resistance mechanisms, write the report. 42,000 GitHub stars as of Sep 2, MIT license. The catch: it is a funnel for K-Dense's paid co-scientist app, and some databases want their own API keys. #claude #claudecode #github #aitools
