I wish that I’d explained this to someone I was seeing last year. In retrospect I should have been more verbally affectionate, but the fact that I WANTED to spend time with him was brand new for me. We went to a 4 night festival then I invited him to come to mine when we got back? Even after 5 days I still wanted him in my space? That was so unusual for me it’s exactly the equivalent of I love you. I just never actually said it.
