been living here in the island of oahu Hawaii since 1990,yes it is expensive to live here,food is to the roofs very expensive rent don't even get me started with that,but I wouldn't change it for the world,Hawaii has giving me everything I own and everything iam I will forever represent Hawaii wich is the place that saw me grow up,but I'm also proud to say iam mexican born and with a lot of mexican pride,Aloha/saludos

We ordered groceries from Walmart for breakfast and lunch and only eat dinner out about half the nights. We bought a time share YEARS ago so it’s paid for and we don’t “pay” for lodging. Flights for 2 were $1200 and we’re here for 7 days. With flights, car rental for a couple of days, groceries, eating out and any extras we’ll spend about $2500

I just visited Oahu and everything costs a lot of money. Between the food and the Ubers we spent so so much money. We had a beautiful time but don’t go there expecting to spend just a few hundred dollars.

My Airbnb was $780 and only paid for 2 activities the rest was free or cheap especially shopping at the stadium for $2 it was a days worth of shopping and eating and saw a lot of beautiful beaches and a water fall took a lot of pictures and loved the temple
