Also reminder that not EVERY media has to pass the Bechdel test, the important thing is that there’s a balance!! We should have just as many female centered movies as male centered movies. We should also have a mix of both.

The bechdel test isn’t necessarily an indicator of a good or a bad movie HOWEVER it should be alarming how many movies don’t pass this test considering the bar is so low.

the Bechdel test is one of many factors a movie is good enough to represent feminist values. Think about the Disney movie "Mulan", each woman talks to each other about men, getting married and bearing kids while men go fight the Huns (a whole ass song is about it and it's fire btw), yet it's the greatest showcase of feminism ever. I'm not saying the test is useless, but it's surely not the only factor to consider

movies with a huge cast that fail the bechdel test are so embarrassing…like psychological movies that have like 2 named characters are fine but when a movie has more than 5 characters and you can’t write a non male centered conversation between two women then what are you doing man
