I honestly think what fascinates me the most about historical cooking is the fact that they cooked meals and cleaned up without dishwashers, plumbing, hot water etc….lol still blows my mind🤣🤣🤣🤣

I read a theory which said that most people believed tomatoes were toxic due to a lot of plates being made of pewter back in the day, and the acidity of tomatoes would cause lead contamination
