Dominican by blood only means (Spain, Taino, Nigerian) from the parents or the parents being legal and residents in the Dominican Republic (Being a citizen). All those other things isn’t a thing in Dominican Republic. There is culture and other things but we only see each other as Dominicans. If a foreigner isn’t born in DR, their parents weren’t born in DR or became a Dominican citizen then they aren’t Dominican. Thats the difference

Nobody really cares about the science behind it. People just want to be proud of where they were born, where their parents, grandparents and etc are from. Some people even go as far as the indigenous people to their land. We could care less about the science. 🤷🏽♀️

In terms of biology, I don’t think there’s a difference like you stated—but when people say that, they typically referring to their parents and sometimes even grandparents being from that location. For example, my family will say X is Haitian “by blood” because their parents were born in Haiti but X was born in the USA or somewhere else.

nobody is american by blood except for native americans, just like how white people are descendants of europeans black people are descendants from africa, there’s nothing wrong with that but saying your blood is american is just not true
