If you’re trying to reduce screen time but still need a few moments to get things done… these are the go to’s we rotate through in our home!! The goal isn’t to fill every minute with an activity — it’s to have a few simple, screen free options ready to fall back on. Here are 6 things we lean on, depending on the moment: 1️⃣ Morning basket — for early wake ups, filled with stickers, notebook, games, and small toys, kept right by my bed. 2️⃣ Quiet time bin — a reserved box of playdough, activities or puzzles that ONLY comes out for quiet time, so it feels like a treat. 3️⃣ Yoto player — screen free audio stories and music they can control all on their own. 4️⃣ Chores — toddlers genuinely love to help! Wiping the table, “sorting” laundry, watering plants. They just want to be involved. 5️⃣ Scheduled independent play — same time, same spot each day, build into your rhythm. 6️⃣ Time outdoors — even 15 minutes outside resets the whole mood (for them and for you). Most of these take little to no prep and use things we already have — it’s really just about creating the invitation. #screenfreeactivities #toddlerparents
