Bash me however you want Mbappe Stans but I’d gladly take a front 3 of Rodrygo Espi - Diomande instead of Vini - Mbappe - Diomande. Mbappe’s lack of positioning of a proper no.9 is affecting the team balance. It doesn’t work in Madrid’s system. It would more or so work in PSG’s system where the front 3 players constantly switch sides. Espi since he’s a more natural no.9 would work way much better than Mbappe in Madrid. Espi should be a starter while Vini and Mbappe rotate on the left. Madrid also most importantly still need a Kroos replacement. A deep lying playmaker to provide tempo controlling balance. I’d rather take a team collectively scores goals like PSG rather than one singular player scoring 40+ just like Luis Enrique said. I don’t give a damn shit about Mbappe scoring goals if it doesn’t not benefit the team itself. Because the only thing we have celebrated the past two season is Mbappe’s useless golden boots.

Sure it’s better when you show the full context but when he says “I do a lot of things others can’t” when that’s blatantly untrue because all he does is score goals which Harry Kane is doing Rafi is doing better at the moment. It’s kind of pathetic.

The offense pressing is key to a teams success no team will win without a team pressing. Mbappe scores yes it’s great but he is one of the worst defensive workrate player in the world. In a top league that will never work out unless the team is built around him to play like teams did with Messi.
