@ocevneofficiel: For my English-speaking people, I wanted to share this in English too, because I know some of you might not understand the French. A few weeks ago, I lost my uncle. Out of that pain came C’est la vie, a song about that feeling of watching life move so fast while mentally, you’re struggling to keep up. Last Monday, after posting the video announcing the release of C’est la vie, I received a call. My cousin was in the hospital and wasn’t going to wake up. A few days later, I lost her too. It’s hard to live through all of this while, at the same time, there are so many beautiful things happening in my life. We’re 110K now. I’m finally seeing more love and engagement around my music, something I’ve wanted for such a long time… and I barely had the chance to stop and take it in. This past week, I’ve mostly been trying to take care of my mental health and remind myself that just because life keeps moving doesn’t mean I have to move at the same pace. I’m trying to stay present, to stop worrying about things I can’t control, and to give myself the space to actually feel everything instead of becoming a ticking time bomb. And honestly, this week, you carried this song for me. Through your shares, your messages, your comments… you gave me strength at a time when I didn’t have much left to give. So thank you. Really. Thank you for making this song live with me, even when I couldn’t carry it myself. For Maureen & Uncle Willy. I hope there’s another life where we find each other again. 🕊️
