we actually established a great routine for this! my closest school friends and i barely speak all year, mostly because we live all across germany now and chose somewhat different paths in life. but we still manage to meet annually for a “yearly recap” powerpoint night. it totally skips the awkward distance because we get to celebrate how much everyone has grown. despite everything, i still feel so deeply connected to and proud of them and i truly hope we can keep this routine alive for the next years (or decades!)
