Sometimes, I agree with the analysis, but it becomes confusing when you look at the other subjects that also affect students’ chances of getting into university.
Almost 200,000 people failed the other courses, yet the emphasis seems to be mainly on English. That’s concerning. When students from different tribes come together at the university, what language are they going to use to teach? English is important, but we also need to look at the bigger picture.
Personally, I had a D7 in English, and because of that, I couldn't go to university. I had to go back and rewrite it. So, I understand what you’re saying, but I also think the analysis should consider all the relevant statistics.
As a senior journalist or someone given the opportunity to speak on radio, please try to base your analysis on statistics and facts, not emotions.
