Yeah hi, Loudoun here. No. We don’t want these data centers. They’re causing actual problems with our economy and agritourism, this is a very rural area with lots of small towns and businesses and the charm of our area IS THAT ITS RURAL AND FULL OF SMALL TOWNS. We don’t want nor need the data centers. They’re loud, they’re destroying the environment, they’re messing with our animals and our economy. GET RID OF THEM AND DONT LET THEM INTO YOUR COUNTY!

The rate is down, not the cost of taxes. A lot of it is because property values are be reassessed so they are collecting the same amount because the base is increasing

The problem is not necessarily the creation of AI models or their data processing centers. Rather, it is that the ultra-wealthy corporations building them are cutting corners by having public infrastructure subsidize their operational requirements and private profits. Residential tax bases funded and built these systems, yet tech companies are leveraging questionable lobbying efforts and NDAs to feed off existing public infrastructure while shifting the cost of massive grid and water expansions onto everyday ratepayers.
