As a parent, if I get a call from the school or someone claiming to be school staff asking to verify if my child can get picked up?? I'm calling that person right away first before giving any approval. Because if (insert family member here) wanted to pick my kid up, they would've asked me first, and I would've called the school to let THEM know

here's the thing that is not happening unless it is by the non-custodial parent doing it. people don't kidnap random kids in the US hardly ever kidnappings are almost exclusively done by non-custodial parents or by grandparents or people that are closely related to the kid. if you're in that situation where you feel like the non-custodial parent may come after your kid you probably shouldn't be so LAX about saying yes

I called n told the school to have my daughter ready in office cuz her appt was like 15 min from the time I actually got to the school and it takes time to get them out of class, they didnt pull her until i was physically there, with ID.

he just made this up. so the kidnapper is supposed to pick a random kid and then say a random name of an adult and hope the parent says yes. and then the adult showing up has to show id matching the name 😂

As someone who used to work for the school system , I don't know how they're pulling it off. Schools don't allow pick up unless the name is on the form.
