As a cabby for 15ys I have avoided many potential accidents just like the above cos e-braking is not a good option actually especially on the highway where vehicles in front from time to time will brake suddenly. But must be aware of surrounding vehicles especially motorbikes coming from behind then it’s always safe to swerve ie constant concentration is needed of your surrounding especially fast vehicles behind besides anticipation of potential braking vehicles in front.
