Andy’s :
Erwin, it’s Wednesday today, and the sparrows by your window are gone. You didn’t see them leave; I suppose that, and many other things, will happen, and you’ll stop noticing them now that you’re gone. I’ll come here and tell you about what’s new, about the kids and their endless daily nonsense, and their improvements too, if there are any.
I guess I’ve been harsher with everyone, Hange told me so the other day, and I suppose I should do something about it. It’s not easy to keep the anger in my veins in check, and the venom on my tongue bursts like fresh blisters every time someone says something stupid, or when someone mentions your name and has nothing nice to say. You know I’ve always been like that with politics… to hell with it.
I read the book on medicinal plants you gave me; I’ve planted a few here and there, but I don’t think they’ll grow. The weather sucks.
Anyway, I planted some lavender on your grave, it smells like your hair pomade, and it’s supposed to mean some bullshit about eternal love. I guess that fits. Get some sleep. See you tomorrow.
