As a skater, I can tell you that the break is what allowed for higher jumps, because the body had time to replenish its resources.

it’s all in the exit out of the jump. the stable edge position, deeper bends from the knee rather than relying on hinging the body forward to centre her weight, sitting deeper into the landing leg; she’s in control of the jump, rather than letting the jump control her.

not comperable, back then the 4Lz was her 5th quad jump and she did at the end of the program when she was alot more tired and now her 4Lz is the first jump of the program
