bootcamp doesn't only prepare them it prepares you for their deployments. I say this with love cause I feel your pain but this will be the easiest of the many goodbyes. -Signed Mom of a deployed son. Find groups that will understand cause no nonmilatry parent will understand

I cried a lot , but you have to be strong for your son because bootcamp is hard and he’ll miss home , and don’t tell him anything bad going on at home that’ll discourage him while in training, he’s there to do great things, graduation and family day is the best days and record your reunion!

My baby left I couldn’t go in his room for about two months. His favorite hoodie was on his chair and every time I missed him I would go in there and smell it smelling my hoodie wearing a hoodie made me feel better.

I cried a lot. The pride and the pain are REAL!!! Look forward to your Sunday calls and let him know how much you miss him and love him. My son has always wanted to know what’s going on at home. Send him lots of pics and letters through sandboxx.

My son retired from the Army in 2024 after 20 years of service. He was 21 when he enlisted. App 13 of those years were in special ops. I wish I could tell you that it won’t be scary and you won’t worry about your Baby every single day but I can’t. But what I can tell you is make the pride you have for him be the leader in this journey. It’s the hardest pride that you will feel. After the first year that he was deployed when I got to see him I asked him for a pair of his boots that he wore when he was deployed. Having his boots at home somehow helped me some. It made me feel closer to him when I couldn’t see him. Keep praying for him and let him know that you are praying for him. My son told me to not listen to the media because they never had the entire truth and that they totally worked for ratings not the truth. GOD bless you and your Son. Prayers for both of you and for all of our Amazing Military and their families. 🙏🏻⚓️❤️🤗😘🇺🇸

Ma'am my heart is breaking for you. I hope you have a great support system. When my son joined the military (2011) I had no one. I cried for about 3 weeks straight non stop. My husband ( not my sons bio dad) at the time told me to stop crying its not the end of the world and I should be PROUD. I told him I was Proud but that was my baby I carried him for 9 months, he came from me. I had no one to turn to. So if you ever need to talk I will be here for you. Just send me a message. Saturday will be 10 years to the day that my boy left for Marine Boot Camp and I totally understand and feel where you're at right now. I can honestly say watching him leave was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and there is nothing that I can tell you that it's going to make it better but I can tell you he will be OK and you will be OK and it will all be worth it when you watch him graduate and go on to do great things for our country. All I can say is take it one day at a time trust the process, and be prepared to be more proud of your son than you ever thought you could be. ❤️🇺🇸 ❤️🇺🇸

You gotta lean on God and family during this time hun. Its hard, its scary, its lonely. Find some military groups. Theres lots of them that will lshare info. Find mommas in his group!!
