@michaeldebrah70: 🌍🇬🇭🇬🇭 The Nigerien community in the Ashanti Region has welcomed the government's recent action to remove street beggars, including children and their mothers, from the streets of Kumasi and Accra. The community says street begging should not be allowed to become a means of livelihood for people, particularly where children are involved. Speaking on the development, the Ashanti Regional Chief of the Niger Community, Mohammad Abubakar Sadiq, rejected claims that all the street beggars are nationals of Niger. He says the actions of some individuals should not be used to label the entire Nigerien community in Ghana. According to him, the Nigerien government has strongly condemned street begging and the practice does not represent the values of the country.
