@dailydoseofahlam: Is this a me problem or a Texas summer problem? The second a crumb is in sight, the whole party comes over! HELP! 🐜🐜🐜 #ant #texas #houston #Summer #bugs
I swear my house was built on the largest ant colony to ever exist 😫 every summer they take over

love bugs...unless you can find the source or do a dog treatment like you would for squitos...but really adult love bugs die so fast...like a week.

Love bugs, and Ants 🐜 are two different things. We get both of them this time of year, including tree roaches that fly out of the trees, like little F-16s, it’s so dry right now, they are looking for water! Like the lady said before a little borax, will try to keep them out of your house, nothing will, but it will kill them if they get in! It’s OK, it will go away very soon! Stay from Texas, 1967

Make sure it’s food grade, but it basically dries out any bug (including tree roaches) whether they touch it or eat it. It’s safe for pets and humans, it’s a bit messy but it’s cheap and they bring it back to their colony and it’ll kill the queen. Also I bought the 4lbs bag literally 3 years ago and it’s only half gone 🤷🏼♀️-texan with too many pets and a fear of anything that’s not animal or human

Water your yard. They are just thirsty.

Carpenter ants are usually the ones that just "appear" as they're nocturnal mostly and fall off of trees onto your home and getting inside through windows, weep holes. granular ant bait around the trees in the yard or a non repellent chemistry insecticide that's transferable from bug to bug such as fipronil. Hope this helps! 🤗🔥

They dislike orange oil. I used it to mop my floors, cleaned counter tops and cabinets.
