One of my complaints about the anime art style, especially earlier seasons, is that no one really looks that good or unique. Rimuru for example is supposed to an ethereal beauty who several men have blushed for, which is shown in the manga and light novel (in some side stories too). Chloe is supposed to be the best looking woman in the series to the point Rimuru had 2 paragraphs of glazing when he first saw chronoa in the light novel, but no one reacts to her showing up naked. One of the things I liked about the light novel was them actually describing faces, but the anime just makes half the characters look similar but with different colors, and just shows fanservice in terms of boobs rather than general appearance. Obviously this is a nothing burger complaint, and season 4 has been playing with angles and lighting so characters look more different now, but I just wanted to speak my mind since we’re on the topic of appearances.
