I had multiple pharmacists treat me like this starting at the age of 15 (I had been prescribed Adderall for almost 10 years at that point). The prescriptions came from 2 separate physicians because I MOVED and I had to use a different pharmacy. They do this all the time to teens and young adults.

I had pharmacist deny me insulin. Prescribed by my endocrinologist and covered by my insurance. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic. She said afilts need to diet not take insulin. I had to transfer to another pharmacist to get it. These pharmacists really let the power go to their head.

I got flag as dug seeking because I filled it at to many different pharmacy.... um, there's a shortage, so thats what happen when you have to find who has you meds in stock this month.

I had a pharmacist try to claim it had scammed my doctor and I didnt really need my adderall prescription because I was a week late to pick it up. I've been on medication since I was *7*. excuse me for needing my 'remember shit' pills to remember shit.

WALGREENS!!! Tried this crap with my 6yo Focalin. I called her peds office on speaker asking them to name off the drs working there with the pharmacist in front of me. I did submit a complaint

i got denied needles and syringes by a pharmacist when i was prescribed an injectable medication. the medication prescription was filled. acted like i wanted syringes for drugs, not the medication I literally just picked up. had to order syringes online

walmart doesnt fill the entire RX for pain meds when prescribed after ortho surgery so we have to recommend a different pharmacy and inform patients of this.

my DR wants to put me on Vyvanse for my ADHD. I was on meds as a kid that helped a lot- Ritalin was amazing. Concerta made me super depressed when I was in middle school, so i told my mom and just quit cold turkey and let me tell you life has been hard and I don’t know why I never put two and two together until recently that it still could just be my ADHD. I tried so hard to not take medication for it again, but I need the help) so as a 30 year adult, I got reassessed for my ADHD and long story short I told her I had to think about it for Vyvanse. I work in the pharmacy and I see how much of a backorder problem there is for ADHD meds that I don’t know if I really wanna start a CII just to not be able to get it when it’s due and possibly have side effects from not taking it on time etc, idk if its worth it rn. maybe I ask to try Atomoxetine for the time being and see if that helps

Seems like this is more of a norm than it is a rarity. What makes pharmacists think that they know more than doctors?!? I would love to know, please. After having major bone surgery, walking in with my arm in a giant contraption, I was denied my pain medication because the pharmacist felt like, “I didn’t really need them.” that was out of CVS in West Orange NJ needless to say she no longer works there. I bet she works as a pharmacist somewhere else now!! where do they get the actual nerve?

Pharmacists are so unregulated it’s insane. They can just at will decide that the lifesaving or life preserving medication you have been on for years is no longer okay and cut you off cold turkey. Which for most medications is a HUGE no-no. Pharmacists need urgently to be reigned in and regulated. They should be held criminally responsible when they deny medication that the patient has been on for some time.

I cannot renew it in the app at my pharmacy I have to call the day before to get it filled and then they never seem to have in stock so I end up missing days on my Ritalin and I’ve been on the same dose for 2 yrs. They cannot even have it in stock so I don’t miss days.

My Norco script gets filled by multiple doctors every year. There's 6 different people that fill on my care team snd I rarely get the the doctor month to month. I'd go off if this happened to me.
