@j_exploress: If you're looking for a hotel in downtown NYC, I really liked my stay at The Cloud One New York–Downtown. I stayed in the Superior King with City and River View and the view was definitely one of my favorite things about the room. The location is also really convenient. You're close to the 9/11 Memorial, One World Trade Center, Wall Street and Battery Park, and you can easily get to the Staten Island Ferry. There are also plenty of subway options nearby, so getting around Manhattan is pretty easy. I also liked having the restaurant and bar downstairs, especially after a long day of walking around the city.
