@interestingengineering: German startup Isar Aerospace has become the first commercial company to put satellites into orbit from European soil, launching its Spectrum rocket from Andoya in Arctic Norway on 5 September 2026. The 28-metre, propane-fuelled vehicle reached orbit on only its second ever flight and deployed five cubesats, seventeen months after its debut attempt lost control 30 seconds off the pad.
