some people here are acting as if james didn’t grow up. it’s literally canon that he matured when he was around 15 and stopped picking on snape, and that’s exactly when lily started falling for him. harry and dudley raised by lily and james would’ve been loved, cared for, and kind people.

no because lily and james would’ve genuinely of loved Dudley like their own and cared for that boy, and would’ve made him feel extra special so that dudley didn’t have the same resentment for Harry that Petunia had for Lily. that was her sisters baby after all. it’s genuinely devastating that Petunia couldn’t have done the same for Harry..
