@lizzierebuilds: Pt.7 Unfortunately we were missing screws from my daughters bed set so we had to hit pause on that and I’m heading to a session this evening but I still feel good on everything we cleaned up today. One step forward to a calmer home. #cleaningtiktok #cleaningmotivation #realistichome #satisfyingcleans #adhdcleaning
At some point soon you will need to include your kids in your house resets and/or cleaning activities in the common use areas of the home. Just tasking them with cleaning their personal space but letting them abdicate that responsibility for every other room in the house is not sustainable or doing them any favours as they mature into young adults. You are already an amazing example as their mom in doing all that you do, including maintaining your own health, a strong marriage, and a special needs child. Your kids can do it. You have already shown them what is possible!

You know what I did? I rented one of those big garbage bins, and I got rid of every single thing we didn’t use. I just couldn’t any more.

You need... a double curtain rod will allow you to have your curtain shears cover your windows always.. then your orange curtains can be moved back and forth🥰

you HAVE to teach your kids to clean up the entire house, it's entirely too much for just you to do.
they have to be a part of the house team
they also need to learn that everyone who lives their cleans as part of a unit.

If I were you, I’d definitely start including your kids on maintaining the clean home. It’s something I wish my parents had done, because I have ADHD and my self-discipline with cleaning sucks. I’m so sure having a chore list could have better prepared me.

how did you get to that point? did you actively tried to change your mindset or was it a "miracle" thought and it changed everything?

we have done house projects for years. I started to learn that I would set a certain amount of time to do the project and always an hour at the end of the day to keep my house up. it really helps. you are doing great

I have a new habit. I take care of it right after I used it. No procrastinating. It changed my life and my home. Hope you can give your kids this new habit. They will use it for the rest of their lives.

Hey your house reminds me of my mums! I always go and clean every 2 weeks and it is always super messy. I have some advice that helped my mum - I believe you have too many things! Bits and bobs, cups, toys. The only way to keep a house clean when you are the only one doing the cleaning is to remove the clutter from your home! My mum was very stubborn and defensive at first but she finally agreed to get rid of her multitude of bowls and kitchen gadgets and ever since then the place still gets messy, but it’s objects of use and not just junk!

PLEASE be careful using that specific odoban. Animals, especially cats, are super sensitive to the eucalyptus...its not good for them. My cats all broke out, so did my dog. 💔
