Yeah, well here’s the difference. A lot of that water goes back into the ground, which then goes back into the underground aquifer and into that local environmental area in terms of agricultural production. With the data centers that water is not going back into the aquifer, it’s getting evaporated and by the time that rain is produced from that evaporated water, it’s already in a different area which overtime leaves a gap where the data center is, furthermore leaving the surrounding area in a localized drought.

The problem isnt how much water. Its what TYPE of water datacenters are using. They should be required to use industrial water and if they want it more refined, they should install water purifying technologies on site
