the realism complaint only really works around the time how to fight came out once reality quest was set in the canon and logic or realism immediately flies out the story bc there is a magical card god who can do magical card god stuff

The poison blood stuff isn't that crazy, but saying the setting or realism shifting doesn't matter is flawed. Lookism’s premise was 2 bodies in a grounded world. Tokyo Revengers has time travel, but that doesn't mean Mikey jumping over buildings would fit just because supernatural elements exist. Likewise, LOTR being fantasy doesn't mean sci-fi aliens wouldn't be a huge departure just because elves already exist. Adding concepts increasingly disconnected from the setting can shift the tone, even if supernatural elements already exist. So Lookism’s changed premise can cause things like gangs and drugs feel less impactful, though that's subjective.

yeah expelling poison from your body has no basis in reality but it's totally reasonable that Daniel's lifetime of getting beat up makes him able to see the future and also amps him from wall level to building+ but only sometimes 😭😭😭
