as someone who grew up in evangelical christianity, critical thinking is regularly suppressed. trust in AI is a natural progression when you’re already used to outsourcing your own critical thinking and relying on an external source like a pastor, the bible, or chatgpt

As an educator, AI is most definitely not giving people what is true. But it does give answers with a voice of certainty. Until you correct it, which people are unlikely to do.
