My hack for this was to apply for a position that nobody wanted because it was so difficult plus I had to move across the country (thankfully with relo). The hiring manager was so desperate to fill the role that I got it. I was promoted after two years and went back to the other coast again into an executive role. Sometimes the only way out is to take a less desirable role whether for more money yet more difficulty or less money and some kind of a weird side step.

Humble enough to know everyone is replaceable. Cocky enough to know it will be a downgrade. That being said, I have built out our processes so that they can be replicated, and I think the business would survive without me if something happened to me. Except in the current role I am in. we've tried to hire for it and it was a disaster. learned from that experience and so currently fine tuning those processes, so when we grow, we can successfully fill that role too.

I strongly disagree. Once you teach everyone the thing that made you special You will be an ordinary one and guess what ? tomorrow will be the last day in your job cause you are replaceable and they will hire someone who cannot be replaced with things are so teachable !

Been at my new job for 3 months. Took one day leave for my birthday and the other day to write exams. You would have thought I have been there for 3 years with everyone calling me nonstop. I'm so distressed. Already looking for a new job 😭

My mangers actually told me to my face that’s why they try to hide behind my call outs and being late as the excuse but the promoted the ppl who did the exact same and more I’ve asked several times to be trained on other things so I can move up and I get told no bc who’s gonna replace u its frustrating 🙄

Ma'am, I am aware 🥲. My managers have refused to cope with discomfort long enough for me to get anyone adequately trained. One of the reasons Im looking for a new job is bc it will never get better as long as I am there.
