@hitchcockhomestead: HOMEMADE POPTART Ingredients * 2½ cups flour * 2 sticks cold butter, cubed * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * ¼–½ cup ice cold water * Jam of your choice * Powdered sugar * Milk * Sprinkles, optional Directions Add the cold butter and flour to a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is crumbly. Add the vanilla, then slowly add ¼ cup of cold water. Continue adding water, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until the dough comes together. Don’t add more than you need! Split the dough in half. Roll out the first half and place it on a lined baking sheet. Spread your favorite jam over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Roll out the second half and place it on top. Press the edges together with a fork, then poke a few holes in the top so steam can escape. Bake at 400°F for about 18 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool completely. For the frosting, mix powdered sugar with a tiny splash of milk until it reaches your desired consistency. Spread it over the cooled PopTart and add sprinkles if you’d like!
