Both my kids have a custodial ROTH with Fidelity, they do all my business' document shredding, some social media posts, and simple data entry. I did not know about the UGMA, thanks! Will be opening one for them too

utma if you trust your kid to spend it wisely. some will buy a hot rod and a bunch of tattoos. know your child.

The key difference here? Their time horizon for needing the money back. You can’t get that extra 20 years of compounding but they definitely can.
