It would take longer than two weeks I reckon… my doc said Give it three months before you tweak your dose. It takes a few tries to get it right. I started at .25 oestrogen and 100 mg progesterone and ended up on 300 prog and .1 oestrogen and now I feel great (a year in)

Hey mama, this is unrelated, but that is the same baby carrier I had for a while and I learned it was causing stress to my babes hip joints due to the positioning... I ended up getting rid of it because of the lack of support and baby just hanging by the crotch essentially just the way the carrier is structured. I'm only mentioning just incase you wanted to look into it & the positioning! Hope you get your symptoms managed. Much love❤️❤️❤️

Quick tip that I found has worked is placing the patch on your upper buttock. It seems to be the best spot for consistent levels. Also adding Progesterone taken in the evening into the mix later on for quality sleep is highly recommended. Make sure you press and hold the patch for a 10 count this will ensure good skin contact too. It’s definitely a journey, and takes a while to find what works well. Peace be the journey xo

How hard was it and did you have to have the blood test that proves it? I asked 43 she scoffed at me said no and when I asked for a blood test for hormone tests she friggin scoffed again and said it’s too hard to test . I’ve had perimenopause symptoms for like 10 years if not at least 15 as I remember just before my 30’s the hot flashes were wicked! I’m 46 next week and I’m bloody miserable . I was on the pill to control my heavy periods that I’ve had all my life but last 5 years I must remain laying down for the first 7 days . I was denied the pill 2 months ago , so that was excruciatingly fun 😳 but it’s the miserable day to day life and the pains . But I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 3 years ago so I’m always , always in pain . But I just don’t get happy or find joy in anything . Has HRT helped find joy again?

Just wondering what do you use for contraception if you have gone off pill and on HRT. Dr put me on the normal contraceptive pill to help with peri menopause but said there is more hormones in that than the patches? Bloods showed no change in hormones but he said that’s probably because the pill is altering them. So if I was to switch to HRT can you still stay on the pill for contraception?

Don’t want to scare anyone but be careful using HRT as if you have factor 5 legion a blood condition you don’t always know you have it, can cause blood clots, I lost my mum from it, I carry the gene so dr has warned me to keep well away from it.

I've been using the daily estrogen gel combined with progesterone tablets for over a year now. I didn't have crazy perimenopausal symptoms (beyond general fatigue and brain fog) but I was 51 and wanted to get ahead of them. 53 next month and still not experiencing any bothersome symptoms so it must be working. Still getting regular monthly periods though which I'm pretty over! 😂
