Nursing student in the postpartum unit… the things i saw just had my blood boiling. This women gave birth hours ago and haven’t gotten any sleep what so ever, yet they’re up sleep deprived trying to take care of the baby meanwhile the men were all sleeping. I couldn’t believe it.

Husbands getting upset because you can't have ... with them right after giving birth is a real thing, and they will act like you set the rule and not your doctor even if the doctor says it in front of him... and when he finally gets what he wants, he won't want it again for a while or until he is jealous the baby gets all your attention

In my day, they didn’t ask… they just did it. Which made it extremely painful for the next 6 mo….I hope they aren’t still doing this!!

my husband literally started crying because I had a little bit of spotting during sex ( It had been a while, I was pent up, and didn't ask him to prep me first) This man was so devastated at the thought of accidentally hurting me that he cried.

no ma'am actually it's not against medical advice if you actually heal faster than the average person you people forget that everybody's body heals differently personally I heal better from surgery My Mother Does half of my family does we've always been able to do things within the first three maybe even two weeks of getting surgery major surgery because our bodies heal faster internally and externally not everybody can do it but it's not against medical advice if you actually heal faster which you are able to heal faster on the average rate if you take care of yourself if you have a good support system and Etc

my husband was just worried about me making it out alive. he made sure i had everything I needed. I was being air lifted form the obgyn doctors office to a hospital 2hr away. he drove home to pack a bag for me. and got there 30mins after I got there. he packed movies for me. my ps3. blankets and clothes. he didnt bug me to have sex afterwards. he waited till I was ready. he took care of me at home. i got lucky. it should be the norm. he made me meals he help me in and out of bed and help me take a shower. I had an emergency c section at 30weeks. and my epidural failed. it was a hard recovery.

My husband was great. I couldn’t even think about intimacy by the last month of my pregnancy and he waited another 6 weeks. I never felt pressured.
