Paul says the gospel by which we are saved is that “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:1 to 4). Acts 16:31 says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Romans 4:5 says, “to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Ephesians 2:8 to 9 says salvation is “by grace…through faith…not of works,” and Ephesians 1:13 says that after hearing “the gospel of your salvation” and believing, you are “sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” Scripture can speak of weak faith and strong faith in a believer’s walk, but it never says a weak believer is only partly saved. Salvation rests on the sufficiency of Christ’s finished work, not on the intensity of your emotions or the size of your faith. The moment you believe the gospel and trust Christ rather than your own works, God justifies and seals you.

Baptism. The answer is baptism. One trusts 100% in Christ by joining him in his death and resurrection.

It’s stupid saying by grace alone through faith and then add conditions

In Islam, we are saved ONLY by the grace of God. We can never be worthy of Paradise, but God is the Most Merciful. That faith of course, had to lead to ACTION. There are obligatory actions, like zakat, giving away a percentage of your yearly income to the poor and needy (to everyone, not just Muslims of course), then we have Salah, the five obligatory daily prayer. Good character is extremely important in Islam, one of the most important things for a believer. We also are encouraged to be kind and just to everyone. To help people always, without expecting anything back. To be merciful. To point out evil and oppression of EVERYONE, and to stand with the oppressed, even if the oppressor is a Muslim. Always stand for the truth and never lie, even if it costs you everything. We need to spread mercy and love to everyone ❤️but also, to punish evildoers and oppressors. Muslims and Christians have so much in common. The wealth elite, the ruling class doesn't want us to notice that, but rather that we fight among ourselves..

Same thing applies over to many of the doctrines and the arguments to support them. Faith alone assuming you must have the correct faith in the correct things. Faith plus works (Catholic) but now grace is no longer sufficient and now you’ve stepped into moralism. Or faith plus transformation (orthodoxy) which puts emphasis on human effort and experiential knowledge… which then runs into the same issue as described in the video. To claim you must understand something or to posses the secret truth is gnostic. If there’s one thing I think we can all agree on, is that you cannot intellectualize your way to heaven

Trust in the lifeguard. That wouldn’t mean to just throw yourself in the deep end without adhering to his warnings and rules.

faith is trusting in the promise of God made through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, if someone doesn’t think the resurrection happened they cant trust the promise God for them in Christ’s resurrection.

that seems to be the big problem... as Christians become more educated on doctrine they remain spiritually immature. not realizing that child like faith saves no matter what form that takes.
