Frankly I think the term African American is racist. I wasn’t born in africa, I have never been. They aren’t called African Swedish, or African Scottish. White people born here aren’t native but you don’t have their country of racial origin listed before American. I am BLACK and American!

POC isn’t a bad term. But when you’re talking about Black people in the US, use “Black people”. Because no other color has ever been treated the way Black people have been, and STILL ARE, like Black people in America.

There is a lot of lateral racism within people of color. It's exhausting lol. As a Native. But I resonate with people of color who support uplifting each other. Alaska is second most diverse in the nation and I love that, but there is still a lot of backwards ways here. sigh. Alaska is a maga state. And then there are blue dots like me 😊❤️

Please talk about how African ppl say that Black American do not know where we are from, however in 1619 when most Black ppls ancestors left Africa, there were kingdoms with different names. Most African countries didn't come to be until the 1900's. Many Africans moved from the coastal areas to central Africa to avoid capture. African don't really even know where they come from.

As a Native American, I thought we were all together. A lot of tribes took enslaves. I thought we were supposed to stand together, but TikTok is showing me different than what I learned growing up.
