I’m an esti & Idc if you DIY skin treatments HOWEVER… I’m not encouraging DIY microneedling, chemical peels, or dermaplaning… but I’m also not interested in shaming people for choosing it. The truth is: – The common arguments are valid… – But they can exist on both sides. Yes, the risk is almost always higher at home. Yes, people absolutely can (and do) hurt themselves. But professionals can cause permanent damage too. And licensing alone does not guarantee skill, experience, or proper judgment. At the end of the day, skincare is a risk vs. reward decision. Some people can afford professional treatments. Some can’t. Some would rather take the DIY risk to save money. Some would rather take the risk of trusting a professional they don’t know yet. There’s no airtight option. Everyone has to make the decision that aligns with their goals, comfort level, and financial reality. My stance? I’m not shaming anyone.
