No hate and I don’t love military. Not only choice but a really good one. Retired at 39 and 100% disability. 8k a month before I was 40 guaranteed. No other company is giving you that before 40💯🤣

I used my g i bill to pay for law school. & i smugly said so in my con law class. my professor (guard JAG) said oh you could have probably already paid for it without joining the military. so I dunno. he basically said I wasted my time doing my 6 years.

I got close to 100 disability, and I now work inlaw enforcement. I also use my gi bill, this year Im breaking over 100k and in the army as an E5 my highest I made was 79k so im chillen

It really depends on the person and probably the branch. It’s not always about money. One of my best friends is in over 20 years and a commander. He got his degree while serving. He’d make much more now if he got out but he enjoys what he does.

absolutely. everyone has their own goals and direction in life. had to mentor plenty of junior enlisted on all their different options (yes, command did push me to push 20) for some, its a stepping stone and for others its a commitment. Do what makes you happy and gets you to your goals and dreams.

That's why you have options, take the 4 year option and use your experience and maybe some school credits and find a great job.

I've been in about 19 years, but I tried your advice, and got out for a few years. I realized the private sector rat race is a scam that sets you up with little-to-nothing at retirement... so I got back Active. Looking forward to retiring in my 40's

Son doing 20. He’s a Blackhawk pilot. He’s got a bachelor’s prior to going in so he’ll work outside after retirement.
