What happened was deeply wrong and honestly heartbreaking. I understand that the Bible teaches parents to train their children in the ways of the Lord, as Proverbs 22:6 says. But that verse does not give anyone the right to conclude that a child’s death happened because the parents failed to raise her properly. Jesus Himself warned us against making assumptions about why someone suffers. In John 9:1–3, when the disciples asked whether a man's suffering was because of his own sin or his parents' sin, Jesus rejected that way of thinking. The Bible also says in James 4:11–12 that there is only one Lawgiver and Judge. So who are we to publicly condemn or humiliate someone, especially someone who can no longer defend herself? Ephesians 4:29 tells us not to let unwholesome talk come from our mouths, but to speak in ways that build others up. And Romans 12:15 tells us to “mourn with those who mourn.” A funeral is a time to grieve, comfort the family, and treat the deceased with dignity. Even if the person made mistakes in life, that does not give us permission to publicly disgrace them or blame their parents for their death without knowing everything they went through. A pastor is called to preach God's Word, but preaching the truth should never become an excuse for cruelty, humiliation, or condemnation. God is the Judge not us. What happened at that funeral should have been handled with love, wisdom, compassion, and respect. The family was already grieving. They needed comfort, not public condemnation.

In as much as i have great respect for any man of God but, A pastor does not have the ethical or spiritual "right" to judge a dead person's eternal destination or use a funeral service to harshly condemn their past way of life. The Role of the Pastor at a Funeral 1.Comfort the living: A pastor's primary duty during a funeral is to comfort the grieving family and friends, not to pass final judgment. 2. Leave judgment to God : Christian theology teaches that God alone knows the human heart and determines eternal destiny; pastors are explicitly warned not to play the role of judge. 3. Proclaim the gospel: Instead of attacking the deceased or speculating on where they went, the focus should remain on the hope, grace, and redemption offered through Jesus Christ

There is absolutely nothing wrong with preaching about training a child, discipline, values or the importance of proper upbringing but why point fingers at the family and the person who has already passed? There is a difference between using someone’s story to teach a general lesson and making a grieving family feel as though they failed in raising their child. You can pass your message across without assigning blame to the dead or the people mourning them. That part was unnecessary and honestly uncalled for! I genuinely wonder if we remember what the Bible teaches about judging others and showing mercy. There was a way to deliver that message without condemning someone at their own funeral
