@bruneitourism: A month of celebration, four districts, and a whole country celebrating until late evening 🇧🇳 His Majesty's birthday is the largest event on Brunei's calendar, and it doesn't take place in a single day. The official date falls on July 15th, but the celebrations run for weeks across Brunei Muara, Tutong, Belait and Temburong. What that looks like: royal ceremonies and a mass gathering at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien, nightly Pentas Perayaan stages with gambus, folk songs and sixties bands, gerai stalls selling satay and kuih until late, religious programmes at mosques nationwide, and this year an 800-drone light show over Tudong Saji in Belait for His Majesty's 80th. The final district programmes wrapped up this month, closing out a season that brought the whole country out after dark.
