honestly as I've gotten older I think I've grown a bigger appreciation for the "I heard you were into this thing so I just grabbed the first thing I saw that had this thing" family member versus the family member who just gives you a generalized gift card. like even if you get me a dragon Ball z action figure at my age of 26 I appreciate that energy and bare minimum effort that you bothered to put into this gift more than my aunt who just keeps getting me Uber cards
