A nurse is a nurse, period!! Here at urgent care, the only thing an LPN can’t do that an RN can is be charge nurse. In fact, our MA’s are treated the same as nurses… the only things they can’t do are triage and work alone or with only another MA. I’m really sorry people fail to give you the credit you deserve. Thanks for all you do! 🫶🏼

If you’re a nurse and can’t handle doing “CNA” work, you just shouldn’t be a nurse at all. CNA work is still & will forever be a part of EVERY nurses scope of practice no matter what letters you have behind your name 🤷🏼♀️

I never “wiped butts” working in SNF’s but now I do as an RN at a hospital because we don’t even have CNA’s on our unit unless we need a 1:1 sitter. It’s not a big deal, it’s part of patient care and I LOVE leaving my total care patients clean, comfortable, repositioned and tucked in. Imagine degrading someone for providing care we are all going to need one day.

I’m a caregiver and I was told this by a family member years ago. I’m like why yes I am and I love it. I’ve met some amazing people. I’m actually scheduled to take my TEAS next month hopefully will be accepted to be in the LPN program next semester 🥰

In pediatrics we used to call it “Lowest Paid Nurse”. But I was an MA so that was the lowest paid position. You are making good $$$$$$$ and killing it. So get it girl

I may be wrong but didn’t u say you worked at a methadone clinic one time and u hated it? Just curious bc I go to one and I always feel bad for the nurses there bc some of the patients get WILDDD

For real. My boss told the head nurse that I wanted a pay raise after completing my LVN mind you I’ve been an MA for the same dr for the past 5 years and decided to go back to work for them when I graduated a month ago. Sounds like they don’t want to give me the raise I deserve so I may need to find a new job. Also people are so stupid and annoying with downplaying LVN/LPN’s.

I got my degree in Occupation Therapy bc i LOVE LOVE LOVE skilled nursing and "wiping butts" AKA helping people remain independent during ADLs 💕

usually people call the QMA's glorified CNAS, not the lpns.. because lpns are still nurses!
