If you have WiFi download a few Netflix movies to your phone. Put on headphones and go to bed. You’ll be distracted and the noise will be blocked.

I was in a hotel during Iniki. Make sure you have a trash can in the room. Fill it up at the pool after hurricane to use to flush toilet. Your room is your sanctuary. Be a shepherd not a sheep. We listened to a lot of people telling us where to go and what to do. Not always a good thing.

I just went through Lala. Definitely fill the bath with water, get some bottled water, grab and go meals (granola bars, peanut butter and jelly, bagged snacks, fruit snacks, jerky), wet wipes are helpful if you can’t shower for 10+ days. I was able to connect to satellite when we lost service. If you lose cell service, there will be a satellite you can connect to, it came around every 15 min. It was like modern day morse code - text only. Hang in there!!! 🩵🩵
