@edmmusicig: This studio session changed dance music forever In 2013, Avicii teamed up with Aloe Blacc to create “Wake Me Up,” blending progressive house with acoustic guitar, soul vocals and folk-inspired songwriting. Its unconventional Ultra Miami debut initially divided EDM fans, but the track soon became a global phenomenon, reaching No. 1 in more than 20 countries and becoming one of the defining songs of the decade. More than a decade later, “Wake Me Up” remains one of the clearest examples of Avicii’s willingness to push electronic music beyond its boundaries and reshape what the genre could sound like. #edm #edmmusic #electronicdancemusic #dancemusic #avicii
