@shesstuckinthe70s: Michael released this song after the media tried to slander his name and make him out to be a monster. Unfortunately, back then, being gay was frowned upon and people automatically assumed gay men were creeps. That’s why after they pushed out enough media to convince the public he was gay, they then started pushing out rumors that he was doing things he shouldn’t with young boys. Michael wasn’t gay (although it would’ve been completely fine if he was.) I think it’s interesting they made these rumors about boys and not girls when he’d only ever had been with grown women. A horrible representation of the homophobia engrained at the time. As for myself, I’m pan, so no homophobia from me!
