100% your right I’m Māori but of a lighter skin tone and my partner is on the Darkside when we go anywhere people are watching him and the police have done that to him asked him if the car was mine. We have been living in Australia for 17 years and in that 17 years he has been pulled up for no reason asked if he has a criminal history asked if he’s violent because apparently being black and a Māori you are a criminal or a gang member and every time they look and see that he’s got no criminal history they are almost sad

I see and understand your point mate, but I'm not sure if that's privelege, or observation and judgement. You're assuming that the hotel worker selling the beer is white. What if it was an Indigenous lad working there. What would he be thinking?If it's a smaller town or community, I'd say the seller's thiughts would be based on observations and local knowledge, regardless of the colour of the person buying it. 🤔

The media has played a major role in conditioning people to think this way. Personally, I’ve made the decision to cut mainstream media out of my life, and I feel it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s all rubbish.

I would have a question now this doesn’t contradict what you’re saying cause I fully respect it and understand though it does happen to me quite a bit where I’m followed by security in shops wether that be Cole’s or Dan Murphys or where ever infact. So it’s not me saying there isn’t white privilege cause i believe it exists though I get harassed by the way I look regardless of my skin colour, i get harassed by police correctional officers shop attendances security so is what you’re saying is it doesn’t happen to any other race apart from indigenous Australians. Cause my opinion would be Australia is very racist and choose to personally pick out indigenous because of skin colour and target anyone by the way they dress or look
