This is so powerful. I don’t know the actual artists meaning, but what I see when I look at this is the countless number of people who hold our society up. Even something as simple as flooring was created by so many people from start to finish. The people who mine/harvest/source the materials used to make it, the people who drive the trucks that ship it, the factory workers who make it, the boat crews who get it across the ocean, the people who install it. It’s crazy to think about.
