@morgainne.ink: Day 81 of the 100 🦋 When I was younger, I spent a lot of time comparing my journey to other artists. Where they were. How good they were. How quickly they were growing. And all the places I thought I should have reached by now. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized my journey was never going to look like theirs. My connection to art has always been deeply tied to spirit, to people, and to the stories we carry. Tattooing became one of the ways I could give that back. My art is my gift to people, and every person I’ve met along the way has shaped me too. I’m still not where I’d love to be. There are things I want to master, places I want to go, and an artist I’m still becoming. But I don’t need to become anyone else to get there. My life is full. It’s been strange, beautiful, difficult, unexpected, and completely my own. Even with all of its ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade it for another path.
