might sounds weird but get an accountability partner, my bf and I use sweatmates to track working out together and eat without screens, it’ll help you realize how much you’re eating

My seven-year-old son telling me that I’m too fat to play with him. Made me feel like a piece of garbage. Anyways, it’s been 9 1/2 months and I’ve lost 107 pounds.

actually put in the work and commit to it! you might not see change everyday but you will progress and when you progress you WILL see change! I made my friend download Sweatmates to stay accountable going to the gym and track our workout streak.

Portion control and calorie deficit is the answer. Still eat what I love but in a more controlled manner.

Just because it’s lunch or dinner time doesn’t mean you HAVE to eat something, listen to your body, if you’re not hungry, don’t force it

as a girlie who lost almost 80lbs several years ago and has since gained it all back (yeah it sucks,) focus on health and long term habits. especially if you have adhd or struggle with routine. one bad life event happens and it can be so easy to lose your routine and habits. make them make sense for you. calorie deficit is important, but so is balance and exercise OUTSIDE of losing weight. you need other reasons besides just seeing the scale go down.

As someone who lost 80 pounds and is now losing weight again after having a baby, you can "barely eat anything" or "I only eat one meal a day" and still gain weight. There are burgers out there with enough calories to go over your daily calories. Amount of food does not equal caloric amount. Sauces, drinks, all add up fast.

Taking Omega-3 in the mornings after breakfast really helped me control food noise. I stopped binging almost immediately

Processed protein is still processed food. Slapping “protein “ on a label doesn’t make it healthy, it just means there’s extra protein.

Eating at a calorie deficit likely means you will be hungry a lot of the time because your body wants to maintain its weight. It’s not a sign you’re doing it wrong or starving yourself. If you want to lose weight you need to be comfortable feeling hungry and not eating every time you feel hungry. If you want to be less hungry you need to move more to increase the calories you can eat. There is no secret hack or formula. It’s just really hard. That’s why not everyone is doing it or succeeding at doing it

“Put the fork down.” (I use to get so offended when I heard this, but when I realized food makes up like 80% of weight loss.. my whole world changed) I am down 141lbs; 40 more to go🖤

Get a food scale and weigh out EVERYTHING i understand women with ED behaviors in the past cant but measuring by cups is far less accurate then grams

you will actively be dieting and exercise and you will likely see the scale go up rather than down. DO NOT be discouraged it will start going down and rapidly too. I learned the hard way I would always give up and say what’s the point but I stuck to it this time and lost 30lbs in 4 months

don’t listen to everyone saying run you can seriously fuck up your knees and heels if you start running out of nowhere while you’re overweight. such dumb advice. just keep your diet clean, don’t eat every time you’re hungry and try to go to the gym as often as you can. walking is good. weights are also good. start slow if your body isn’t used to it

Accepting that the look most people are chasing is actually muscle not skinny and the gym is key. I didn’t realize until I reached the goal number but didn’t like how it looked because I didn’t have the muscle mass.
