Just a friendly reminder, walmart employees are abused :) we work 9 hour shifts all week, if they say come in. you have too or it's used against you and you are fired. YES FIRED. so its always more than 40 hours. then part timers literally have more than 40 hours. we are trained in orientation to ignore yall and run yall over because we are timed! "don't be scared to push your way through customers" if you dont, you get coached for productivity. if we fail the time we get fired. I was fired from walmart and had to file with ethics. we do not get to use ppto or pto, if we do we get fired or written up and coached. i was forced to work with gastritis while I was fainting at the store constantly. I got told I couldn't "keep doing this" we will literally lose our jobs if we don't work the way we do! we lose over 20 employee a week and hire 15 new ones every two. we are constantly understaffed doing pick walks that can have up to 300 items or more all through the store. we have 45 minutes no matter the item count if we have below a 100 pick rate we get fired. I got coached for my pick rate being 97. this is for walmarts near me and most are like this!

OSHA is the one that made Walmart do this. It’s what happens when someone is pushing the cart really fast around the corner and KILLS A KID. Pulling them is so you can see around the corner and be safer

I'd argue that them messing with the wheels has made it unsafe, it's so hard to control the carts now, even when pulling the back end sways and won't stay straight, I'm actually concerned I'd hit people now when that was never a concern before

If they would actually look and say excuse me or anything at all there would be less accidents. Too many times I've had them just block the aisle or force their way through without a single word

My store told our department that if they don’t wanna pull the carts they can find somewhere else in the store to work, I think it’s crazy since 8 totes are supposed to return at some point, it’s gonna mess some shoulders up

How do so many people get hit by these? Ive never seen it, nor experienced it. Have situational awareness and realize theyre on the clock trying to get stuff done. MOVE when you hear them coming. Theyre LOUD, and really hard to miss. if you get hit its because youre not paying attention.

For all the customers complaining, have just a little bit of situational awareness and basic manners and you won’t have to worry about getting hit. You don’t get to be in a bigger hurry than us. We constantly have a time limit and metrics to meet
